Once again it is time for the exciting
Relay For Life coming to the Bonita Springs community on March 2 & 3, 2007.
It’s the American Cancer Society’s signature fund-raising event to fight
cancer and save lives. As Team Captain for the American Cancer Society’s
Relay For Life Lakemont – Pelican Landing team, I’m pleased to be in the
forefront of the fight against cancer and be given this opportunity to make
a difference. Virtually everyone knows someone who will be touched in some
way by this disease. That’s why it’s so important that we raise the money
necessary to eventually make it only a memory.
Everyone is aware of how viciously
cancer can strike down the richest, the poorest, the successful and the
challenged. In the past two years we have begun to see a decline in cancer
deaths quite happily, even as we wipe our tears for a friend or loved one
lost. And yet, there is still much work to be done. If you choose to
support this worthwhile cause with a donation, please do so today as our
time until the Relay is short. By participating, you honor cancer
survivors, pay tribute to the lives we’ve lost to the disease, and raise
money to help fight it – all right here in our community. Any donation,
small or large, is meaningful and will be gratefully accepted. And be sure
to include your friends - the more people we can get involved, the sooner we
